Arsenal to battle Wolves for £2m centre back?

Although Arsenal have spent £10m on signing classy central defender Thomas Vermaelen, they look set to raid the transfer market again to bring in a taller centre back.

The Gunners have been tracking former France U-21 international Ronald Zubar for 3 years now, but will have to act swiftly if they want him.

The Sun claim Wolves are bidding £2m for the 23-year-old former Caen player, so time is of the essence for Arsenal to tie up a deal.

Oh yes we need another taller defender and at least a younger one coz Gallas is aging too is toure. But i be very great full if wenger buys a good tough defensive midfielder to help the defense much as Song is also maturing. Our striking is not too bad but adebayor has to be counsiled to gain the faith he had before. Am an arsenal supporter and i will support it forever

Now back to the matter at hand, I feel that Wenger will sign at least 2-3 more players this transfer window within the next 2 weeks. He now knows that we need to strengthen the spine of the team and I have full confidence for his ability to find yet another couple of stars for the team. keep the faith guys!!

yes o!good enough for Arsenal..but my own opinion is why can't we sell adebayor and we should buy a good striker like Torress, Tevez, or any other striker, bcs we need that in our squared, & even as much am very happy with our new sign in Achavin, we play with Walcot, so when we sign another Stiker for Farbregas am very sure we will win trophy..

Left for me, i can not see it happening. Instead,Le.proffessor,will be more interested in a combative defensive midfilder after the signing of thomas.

i think if we are gonna buy someone it should be a midfielder if we sell eboue which i hope we will, it will give us an opertunity to buy a decent winger with expierience like valencia's Joaquin, he has pase, speed and an amazing pinpoint cross, a great addition especially for valencia's debt.

I am not sure if he will sign for arsenal as dont they have a transfer clause that does not allow them to buy any players who have reached puberty ? Wenger loves them young

More cheap players.....but then again he is French and Arsene likes them! I wonder if he had 100 million if he would still look at this guy? Then again Arsene has always been able to pull rabbits out of the hat who turn out to be great players!
