Darius Vassell is said to be keen on remaining in the Premier League when his Manchester City Football Club contract expires later this summer.

The former England international striker is out of contract at Eastlands at the end of the month, and Queens Park Rangers want to take him to the Championship.

However, Vassell, 29, is keen to remain in the top-flight, and it is believed he is waiting to hear if reported interest from Bolton Wanderers and Stoke City has substance.
