Arsenal midfielder set for Blues loan switch?
12:30 PM 29 June, 2009
Aaron Ramsey could be heading to Birmingham City Football Club next season.

The Welsh international only joined Arsenal last summer when he was signed from Cardiff City in a £5million deal, but he made just one Premier League start last term.

Despite this Arsene Wenger believes the 18-year-old is a sure-fire star of the future, and he may be willing to let him leave on loan to gain regular first team football.

It is believed Alex McLeish is interested in taking Ramsey to St Andrews for the 2009/10 campaign, and the two clubs could be set for discussions this week.

how do brummy fans talk about the streets of london - er..have you seen birmingham - really? anyway I find it amazing that when Eddy had his leg broken apparently it was Eddy's fault for being foreign and too skillful and having his leg planted. sorry it was "a reckless get in there early and show these flash Arsenal foreigners you are around tackle" with a kind of stupid execution. (terry christian understood a few things when I saw him) If Arsenal fans on this forum need to grow up some brummy fans need educating. sexist crap and xenophobic shite aside you're happy to take one of our's on loan though aren't you? Personally I hope you get relegated again.

I think the twat who keeps on slagging bluesplayers and noses .... should in my opinion GROW UP. I'm not a season ticket holder but that season i did go to every game. Tiny was in no way malicious with the tackle. How eduardo broke his leg was due to gallas stamping his feet and spitting his dummy out causing the turf to ride up so when eduardo went to kick the ball he twisted his leg on the pitch. So ... the sod did it within the first eight minutes. case solved

Arsenal fans what with all the hatred yeah I'm a blues fan and Taylors donkey tackle wasn't my proudest moment but lets face it, thats all it was. Plus Birmingham have brought some great players on in the past or Don't you remember David Seaman and Nigel Winterburn??? If the kids a talent then he should learn about the hardships of football as well as life on top... Without having to battle with his back to the world at any point in his career how do you expect him to come through when he returns to you and you are in a battle in Turkey in a dogged champions league group game???

The brummmmmmmmmie nation my Arse, the least influencial part of the country. The football is crap, the girls sound and look like men and were Birmingham FC play the game break opposition legs and celebrate diving. (What a game they play, their main tactic is the ball from the keeper to the donkey upfront. and the defenders and midfield stay arounnd their own box and kick lumps out of players to finish their careers.)

West Brom are the best club in the midlands, that is comming from an Arsenal fan. They are the only club which play football in the midlands. Birmingham are a rubbish club who will relegate from the premiership next season as they do every 2 years. Ramsay is already a better player than any Birmingham midfielder past or present, so Wenger would never let one of his best young players go to a club where the fans condone a player breaking anothers leg.

As horrifc as the tackle on Eduardo was, it was not malicious, it was just really, really crap. What about the one that broke Diaby's leg? Do you remember that? Or who did it? (without googling it). If you are actually a season ticket holder you are a joke and I don't know why you waste your money if all you want is to cause offence to other supporters when you can do that from home. P.S RU yes UR, a prick that is. You can go to as many matches as you want it doesnt mean you have a football mind. HE IS NOT LEAVING, HE NEEDS TO STAY AND LEARN FROM CESC FAB, WHO HE INTEND TO REPLACE AFTER NEXT SEASON. WE KNOW RAMSEY HAVE A CLEAN FUTURE WITH ARSENAL SO ALL THESE NEWS IS FUNNY. BUT ON THE NEWS ON MELO FELIPE This is the very Good News i have been dying to read, i have watched and Talked with him, he is very Strong and rough, which is very Good, Arsenal defence needs someone like that. Rough Tackle is the best in Football this days, When u are a Rough defender like Melo , Strikers like Torres or C ronald will never tend to push the Ball or try to redicle you with their skills or dribbling, Cause they will end up injured. with that on their Mind they will only tend to Pass the Ball rather than trying to beat you with their dribbling skills. ANOTHER IS THAT I WILL LOVE WENGER TO GO AHEAD AND BUY ONYEWU OF USA, I SAW HIM PLAY IN SOUTH AFRICA, ALSO I SPOKE WITH HIM AND ASKED HIM IF HE WOULD LOVE TO PLAY FOR THE GUNNERS. HE LAUGHED AND ASKED IF I WAS KIDDING,SAID THAT HIS IMPROVEMENT IS ALL BECAUSE HE WANTS TO COME BACK TO PREMIERSHIP, HE SAID THAT HIS AGENT IS IN TALKS WITH ASTON VILLA BUT HE WILL PREFER ARSENAL WITHOUT HESITATION IF THE OFFER COMES AROUND. I`ve watched him play and i see Improved, i must affirm to you that he is like the New ferdinand of Usa, i will love Wenger to go for him , his just for 6.1 mill, u need to watch him in the confederation tournament, truly he is now better than Ferdinand, he is very good on the Air and one on one tackle. write me if you wish. I think that Blues would be a good move for Ramsey. Look at Muamba and Larsson. Although we let Muamba go he has played a great part in the u21's tournement this last week or so. Ok he is not at Blues now but they brought him on. I just hope that they can give him (ramsey) the experience he needs to break through into Arsenals 1st team. As far as this Eduardo incident is concerned, its time to build a bridge peop[le and get over it! It was obvious to me and other football fans that he didnt do it on purpose. If he did then he has to live with it not you or anyone else. Blues play the kind of football wenger likes as do west brom and any other club we send players out on loan to. That's the reason of that link not because we are holding out our hand, its over Eduardo will come back stronger and a better player.

seriously i don't hear portsmouth fans clamouring for the embargo on transfers to/from man city (pedro mendes/ ben thatcher incident), or liverpool with blackburn (cisse/ mcevely) or even crystal palace with man u (think eric cantona fly kicking a fan was a little more intentional that the lumbering martin taylor going in late on nippy lil eduardo). but why would a player try and intentionally cause such traumatic damage to an opponent? he wouldn't and i think any arsenal fan that thinks it was a deliberate attempt to injure is deluded. the fact is he is a big slow defender who, if u'd seen him week in week out you'd know, wouldn't be capable of doing the same tackle again if he tried! to be honest obviously it was an horrific injury, and im really glad that eduardo can walk let alone play after a triple break, but tiny is never guna be safe in the streets of north london again n he has got a lot of stick for something that he did accidentally whereas the likes of roy keane (who admitted trying to end alfe inge haalands career) doesn't get a mention. it was a freak accident, end of story. oh and for all those maintaining taylor has never issued an apology, if u watch footage of the game he did when he saw the awful damage he had unwittingly inflicted, he also sent emails both apologising and asking to meet eduardo in person. I am a bit annoyed cuz i always liked following arsenal when we were in div 1 as on their day they play the most attractive footy in the prem, but i just don't understand what drives fans to send death threats to a person's house - taylor has 3 lil kids, who don't deserve to get caught up in this - over what is at the end of the day a game. I hope both teams and supporters can bury the hatchet this season, blues to stay up n arsenal to keep their champs league spot. Keep Right On

"BCFC" Boasting about being a season ticket holder? hahaha!! How do those season tickets cost? Better yet, how long is your season ticket waiting list? Its a lot harder to get season tickets at the emirates than it is at most clubs, that doesn't make any Arsenal fan less of a supporter just unlucky that they support one of the best teams in the world. Luckily for me I am a season ticket holder and I can't wait to sing "WE CAN SEE YOU SNEAKING OUT!!" When your piss poor side get turned over. Oh yeah and Martin Taylor is a thug and a nonse. We also had a player break his leg in a similar incident this season but do you see us moaning about it? NO! I am proud to support my local team, obviously you lot do not want to. Grow up. KRO! Loyal ST holder.

I'm not so sure whether an 18 year old would be able to get enough games out on loan in the premiership. We'd love to have him as one of ours, but to guarantee him games then I think a championship club may be more appropriate.

What could Ramsey learn sitting on the bench or playing in the reserves team. Also what do you think he is going to gain with players like Gallas at his club. He'd be much better off at a growing club like Blues where fans would treat him like family. Finally if you feel that way about Birmingham city, we'll have bendtner back!

what could ramsey possibaly learn at the blues apart from kicking the opposition into touch. I hope arsenal never do business with that lot after their conduct last time we met.

If you don't have any thing to say, then don't say any thing! How can you write 'a story' without a source?

By lack of grace I assume you’re forgetting your Captain storming to the other end of the pitch and sulking after a penalty was awarded correctly, or are you trying to justify the death threats made by Arsenal/Croatia fans for a clumsy but innocent challenge.

Shedzy is a tool. A lack of grace is what William Gallas showed to his team mates and manager. Martin Taylor is a slow, clumsy, conference level footballer - the only reason he mistimed that challenge is because of these contributory factors. He's a thoroughly nice bloke and wouldn't do such a thing on purpose. We'll take Aaron Ramsey treat him like a legend, like we do for Bentdner unlike the glory hunting prawn munching unappreciative goons at the Library.

I'd be delighted if he went out on loan for a season, as long as it wasn't to Birmingham. i'd rather we never did business with them again, after what happened to us last time we played there, and the subsequent total-lack-of-grace they showed following the incident.
