Would lifelong Liverpool fan be welcome at Everton?!
02:00 PM 30 June, 2009
Everton Football Club are said to have not ruled out a move for Kevin Nolan.

The former Bolton Wanderers star signed for Newcastle United in January for £4million, but he couldn’t prevent the Magpies losing their Premier League status.

David Moyes is known to be in the market for a new midfielder during the summer transfer window, and reports suggest he could offer United their money back for the 27-year-old.

However, whilst Nolan may welcome the possibility of a return to the North West, it would be a shock if he signed for the Toffees as he is a lifelong passionate fan of Liverpool!

I love the Everton lads like Ossie & Hibbert who have the club in their blood, but they've both failed to improve with the rest of the team & are holding us back now. We need a new Right Back & a new Right-Sided midfielder. If you compare our left side with Baines & Pienaar with our right side with Hibbert & Osman, the difference in quality is immense. Chelsea obviously delighted in taking advantagage of this weak link during the F.A Cup Final.

Nolan? he seems alright as a bloke, he apologised to Big Vic straight after he saw the replay... good on him. (i also think he did us a favour cos Vic's been awful and Sheff Wed must be mad to want him), I just don't think Nolan improves the squad. I can't believe anyone thinks that Hunt or Barry Fergusson are better than Osman. Fergusson was out of his depth in Blackburn for god's sake as for Hunt, i've seen nothing that impresses me at all. We need players that are going to improve the 1st 11, not warm the bench. The more i see of him the more i think Fabian Delph should be bought or at least loaned with a clause for 1st option for a purchase at the start of next season.

John, I dont care if youve met Reidy on the moon! Peter Reid was a red, after playing for us he converted. I dont think Nolan is good enough, we dont need squad players or thugs

What an absolute shambles, if we sign Nolan I am sending my season ticket back. Hunt from Reading is a much better option or even Barry Ferguson. Possibly test United with a bid for Darren Fletcher. Dont want any useless kopites playng for my team. We have got enough (Leon il on have 5 decent games a season and Tony cant pass a ball Hibbert spring to mind)

I'm sure I saw that he was a Red as a kid Paul. Something to do with them having Craig Johnston back then. doesn't really matter though. Forgot about that Anichebe tackle...

Forget him being a red, the tackle he made that ended big Vics season makes him more unpopular.

Nolan is a thug. Don't want that scum at Goodison, and it's got nothing to do with him being a Kopite

Cahill and Osman were Reds, Carragher was a Blue. It's just something that we get on with! Would be a decent signing.
