Everton Football Club are leading the race for Michael Bradley, according to reports.

Both the Toffees and Aston Villa were keen to sign the 21-year-old American international last summer, but he eventually left Dutch side Heerenveen for Borussia Monchengladbach.

However, the German side only just avoided relegation last season, and reports now suggest David Moyes hopes to persuade Bradley to move to England ahead of the new season.

Martin O’Neill is still believed to be interested in the midfielder, but reports over the weekend claim the Merseyside club are in pole position to clinch a deal.
