Cardiff City are closing in on the signing of Mark Hudson as a replacement for Premier League-bound Roger Johnson.

"Our priority is a centre-half and we have had an offer accepted," said Cardiff chairman Peter Ridsdale.

"We will be talking to the player on Monday."

27-year-old Hudson has spent just one season at the Valley after his move from Crystal Palace last summer.
