Tom Soares is eager for a run in the Stoke City Football Club side.
The youngster signed for Tony Pulis' Potters from Crystal Palace on the transfer deadline day, but he had to wait until last Sunday to receive his debut in the defeat to Portsmouth.
"I think a lot of people say 'he is still young' and 'he has time'. That is probably right, but you don't think like that. As a young player you just want to play," Soares told The Sentinel.
"But I have to keep working hard in training and show the manager what I have got. This is a really big club and the manager obviously knows what he is doing.
"I just want to get in the team and be part of keeping us up. Obviously I want to be in the team and be part of it and I do find it a bit difficult to be on the side watching."
