Sunderland – the good, the bad and the downright unacceptable
01:00 PM 02 July, 2009
Fans FC is asking Sunderland fans to reveal their good, their bad and their downright unacceptable about their club.

The good can be that fully-committed midfield workhorse who you just know would reject the mega-riches of Real Madrid to stay at your club.

The bad could be that ageing fullback who hasn’t had a decent game for your club for the past five seasons, but just so happens to be a manager’s favourite.

And the downright unacceptable can be anything from another mammoth hike in your season ticket price to that awful yellow and pink third away strip.

So using the comments box below, tell us about your club’s good, bad and downright unacceptable.

Bring back Steve Hetzke, Paul Lemon, Gareth Hall, Derek Ferguson, John Cornforth, Warren Hawke,David Corner, Ian Wallace. Terry Butcher as manager for a second stint. See the lads through into the Europa League. What do you think SAFC fans of the World ? Only time Sunderland will get into Europe and improve is via a playstation. Considering Quinn is mint and learning you lads judt need to be grateful and thankful you ar enot down again. Build it and they will come. Field of Dreams

Well I would have to say that the good is the combination of Niall Quinn and Ellis Short. Short is savvy enough to realise that he is far better at managing the financial and business side of the club and will do so very well whilst Niall Quinn seems to have developed an inate sense of saying and doing the right things at the right times. The bad is that we still need to revamp a squad which contains a lot of players who are just not good enough for the Premier League and as yet we have seen very little in the way of confirmed interest from other clubs. The unacceptable is much more difficult. I really cant think of anything about the club that is in any way unacceptable to be honest....How much of that is down to the eternal optimism of being a Sunderland fan is yet to be confirmed...
