Portsmouth – the good, the bad and the downright unacceptable
12:00 PM 02 July, 2009
Fans FC is asking Portsmouth fans to reveal their good, their bad and their downright unacceptable about their club.

The good can be that fully-committed midfield workhorse who you just know would reject the mega-riches of Real Madrid to stay at your club.

The bad could be that ageing fullback who hasn’t had a decent game for your club for the past five seasons, but just so happens to be a manager’s favourite.

And the downright unacceptable can be anything from another mammoth hike in your season ticket price to that awful yellow and pink third away strip.

So using the comments box below, tell us about your club’s good, bad and downright unacceptable.

Fair play Linvoy, a hero, but Sean Davis is certainly not a brilliant player and it's not a bad thing he is gone. If he was brilliant, he would have played for a brilliant premiership club. Which he hasn't (Fulham, Tottenham, Pompey & Bolton). If he was loyal, he would have stayed, which sadly is a trait far too widely associated with professional footballers these days. Davis rejected three contract offers, two of which were put to him once we were safe with the prospect of a substantial improvement in the club with potential new investment. He only looked half decent this season because Muntari, Diarra and Mendes were gone, so he got in the side and put some effort in, which was appreciated by the fans and myself, but we did not see brilliance by any stretch of the imagination. Which is why the manager left him out of the Cup Final team. For me, the good is getting rid of players that can't cut it in the Premiership and have been costing the club an astronomical amount of money. Lauren for example, who is on a reported £60k a week. Mismanagement of this nature is unacceptable and finally we have shipped those that are surplus to requirments and quite frankly nowhere near good enough for the Premiership. Thanks for what players like Pamarot etc gave for PFC, but let's hope new investment, a new management structure and new players can kick start a steady growth towards more success and good for the club and us lot int he stands. Otherwise, it will go from bad to worse and we'll end up in a truly unacceptable sitation like Newcastle United. Always look on the bright side of life...

The good would be Linvoy Primus!! What a loyal player he has been for Portsmouth and a brilliant defender. It is a shame that injuries have kept him out the game over the last year. The bad would be letting a player like Davis go. We should have treated him alot better he is a brilliant player. Redknapp even left him out the FA Cup final!! Am sad to see him go but can't blame him i suppose with the way Redknapp treated him. As for the inacceptable that would be hiring Tony Adams. Hes a good coach and a great man but hiring a manager to keep us out of a dog fight in the premiership who go the sack for a league 2 side was a strange thing to do. He is a good bloke and i wish him all the best for his future but i never understood why he was hired.
