Can Everton beat mega-rich Chelsea and City to £12million midfielder?
01:15 PM 02 July, 2009
Everton Football Club are interested in signing Stephane Sessegnon.

The 25-year-old impressed in Ligue 1 for Paris St Germain last season, but he is being heavily tipped to leave the club just twelve months after joining from Le Mans.

A Benin international, Sessegnon was linked with Arsenal and Newcastle United last summer, but PSG signed him for around £8million and now rate him at £12million.

This is a fee certainly in the budgets of Chelsea and Manchester City, but reports suggest Everton hope to tempt the player with the offer of regular first team football.

If he wants to play for a real football club he will sign for Everton or topping up his bank balance whilst getting splinters sitting on the bench.

I can't believe any Everton rumour for a player that cost more than £5m because as yet, we haven't shown any signs of actually having serious money to spend.

This man is like a mini-Essien. Like a bulked tougher SWP. I think he will be a great addition to any side.

Very good player, could be answer to are right hand side problems, saw him a few times last season on setanta and he looked good vs. Man City in UEFA Cup last season too but with those two interested aswell its very unlikely we'll sign him?!
