Aston Villa plan to lure £4million Arsenal defender?
01:45 PM 02 July, 2009
Philippe Senderos continues to be linked with Aston Villa Football Club.

The Swiss international is out of favour at Arsenal and spent last season on loan at AC Milan, who have declined the option to sign him permanently.

Martin O’Neill is looking for a new central defender following the retirement of Martin Laursen, and reports suggest he fancies the £4million-rated Senderos.

However, the Midlands club face competition from Italy in the shape of Fiorentina, whilst German side Hertha Berlin and Turkish giants Galatasaray are also keen.

Yes i think it would be wise if AW cashed in on senderos after his lackluster performance at Arsenal. I would like to see a proper defensive midfielder brought in to make our porous defence strong so we can mount a proper challenge next season I am not scared of the big guns in the top four because we have a great squad in Arsenal.
