Mike Ashley admits he wants to sell Newcastle United Football Club.

The under-fire businessman only took charge of the St James Park club last summer, but he has endured a roller-coaster ride with the fans he has tried to hard to fit in with.

There were protests before, during and after the weekend defeat to Hull City following the departure of Kevin Keegan, and he has now put the club up for sale after revealing he listened to the desire of the fans.

However, Ashley has insisted he will not simply offload the Magpies to the first bidder, and he wants around £240million to relinquish control of the Premier League outfit.
