City prepared to break the bank for Arsenal legend
02:23 PM 02 July, 2009
Patrick Vieira is a major target for Birmingham City Football Club.

The former Arsenal skipper is expected to leave Italy this summer, where he has fallen down the pecking order at Inter Milan under coach Jose Mourinho.

Paris St Germain want to take Vieira to France, but reports in England suggest Birmingham are keen to tempt the 33-year-old with an offer of £100,000-per-week.

Big words bluenose....can you back them up? If anyone from "Up" there should brag it is Villa (Respect to them) and not your club.....??? You quote, "Dull club" - Do you play better football than Arsenal? "Cannot break into the top three" - in the last twelve years sir, we have won the Premiership three times and undefeated too - when have you last won it? Yes, we have Viera, Henry, Bergkamp etc and are proud of our history- who have you had? You should worry about Man City..not us. We have two billionaires onboard who will contribute sooner rather than later, who do you have? Money will come in from the Highbury development (Flats that Northerners cannot afford) We have struggled since building a World Class stadium, I admit that. But we have the best club stadium in England - fantastic views, magnificent corporate and club level and huge seats with massive leg room - what do you have? Our youth regularly play in the Carling Cup against the Premiership first teams of others, do yours? They even won the FA Cup and leagues this year, how about your club? I for one am happy you are back in the Premiership, this time we get to beat you good and proper! BTW you go on about us "Southerners" but in your hearts it must kill you to know you cannot afford our lifestyle and houses here, knowing that London holds up the whole country! Eduardo to score against you and send you back down will appease us all! Villa to stuff you again!

hang on hang on why would he join a dull club look who's tslking a team that cant even with trophy's they can't even break into the top 3 they can't even go out and buy top players the only reason arsenal was good was they had the likes of henry, viera and they went 2 better clubs hint hint its ok tho man city will take your 4th spot next year oh aswel last time we played you we was down 2 10 men and you still couldn't beat us hahaha losers go watch your youth team you got so many must be hard 2 choice they all shit thts why they come 2 us 2 improve themselvs lol

Why in the world would he want to go there, all they do is turn promissing and good players rubbish, Larsson, Muamba, Bendtner, Djourou etc. Unless he just wants to go get paid and retire then fair enough.

as an arsenal supporter i say it was an accident. but just like michael jacksons death it was an accident waiting to happen when you have someone like mcleish as manager and you follow his style and morals of course these things like that are gonna happen. lets face it, we all know what mcliesh's last words were to his players, "go out there, rough 'em up abit and give 'em something they wont forget...that way they will pussy out for the rest of the game!" am sure you wouldnt hear wenger or feguson saying that as part of thier team talks, there more inclined to playing football and not UFC

Actually the very same thing happened to Liam Ridgewell last seasn but we don't bear a grudge. It really is pathetic the way you can't see it was unintentional. Oh yes now I remember, down south there aren't any schools and you all live on the street
