Juventus are not looking to take Xabi Alonso from Liverpool Football Club.

The Italian giants have long been linked with a move for the classy Spaniard, rated at £25million, but president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli insists they are not interested.

"For the midfield, there are many names. But Xabi Alonso's not one of those", Cobolli Gigli said. "I read it in the papers, but saying I've read his name in papers is where it ends."
