Watford manager Malky Mackay has confirmed the rejection of several bids for his star striker Tommy Smith.
Smith is a club stalwart at Vicarge Road, having made over 250 apearances for the club in two seperate spells.
"We do want to keep Tommy. Bids have come in that the club have turned down so far because they have been nowhere near where we value him," Mackay told Sky Sports News.
"I personally value him as one of the top three footballers in the Championship.
"I know the levels that the guy works at, trains at and plays at. I value him as one of the top three players in the league in terms of him scoring goals and creating goals."
