Aaron Niguez has turned down the chance to return to his parent club in a bid to make a real mark at Ibrox.

"Valencia wanted me to go back to them for this season but I was keen to come back to Rangers," said the 20-year-old, who may have had more first-team action in Spain next season due to Valencia's financial woes.

He has chosen to stay in Glasgow however and added, quoted on the official club website: "I am hopeful I can play more football than I did in my first season in Scotland because I have got used to the game there now and I feel I have improved."
