Tottenham Hotspur seek £32million for strike duo?

Tottenham Hotspur Football Club have slapped healthy price tags on Darren Bent and Roman Pavlyuchenko, despite neither being part of Harry Redknapp's long-term plans.

It is believed the Spurs manager is looking to offload Russian international Pavlyuchenko just twelve months after his arrival in England, whilst Bent is also available for transfer.

However, it is being reported that Redknapp wants £14million for the former Spartak Moscow man, which is likely to end interest from Roma, Villarreal and Stuttgart.

Bent, meanwhile, cost the Londoners £16.5million when he moved from Charlton Athletic, and Tottenham now want a fee of £18million to consider his sale.

What the hell is redknapp doing? I know its only July but why are we not signing any big names yet. Surely if one comes then the others will follow. Why we cant offer the likes of Van Nistelrooy , Sneijder, Huntelaar and Robben very good deals and the chance to play together again I dont know. Surely if we sell all of the B listers that should be enough to cover the cost ? Please Please Harry get us some decent signings.......

I feel the mighty spurs must bring in a topo quality forward who can score goals like nisterooy. wot apend to the speculation of bringing him bak2 the lane. a couple of additions to the back and a better attacking midfielder in front of palacious like cahill and a new left winger like ashley young then i think we would ease into the champions lleague no doubt who agrees?

hey i would like to see modric stay on the left and for us to buy velso from sporting lisbon, hes young and very talented and him and wilson placious would be perfect in the middle of midfield.. ? Does any one agree with me that defoe and keane can work well up front, know one that i know agrees with me, they all think nope it will never work ?? oh and btw know how that fan is from south africa im from aberdeen in scotland, so spurs fans are every were, its because we are amazing :)

Please all this slating of bent yet he scores goals Pav had an average season scored goals but its fair to say he has had to adapt his game to the fast and furious prem. I feel we need to see a fresh pav hes been playing solid football for the last 18 months withot a rest give the lad another seaso and if hes firing all cylinders early doors then think he will have an awesome season I truly believe he is a better player than Berbatov. Bents had his chances I don't mind if he stays r if he goes a left ided midfielder must be main priority!!!!

I just wonder whether you even know where South Africa is! Criticism is cool but keep your comments clean. Yes, we remember the Bent sitter but..... we also watch the game at our end of the world. I thought spurs would have learnt their lesson last season but from activites pre-season i cant see they have,a true spurs fan should realize that present spurs squad is not good enuf for anything and all other teams above or below r getting stronger and stronger ,so this season could b a shock if not careful.

Come on Arthur Gray, Bent being the worst player youve seen at spurs in 30 years, you must have a memory like a goldfish! You really think he's worse than Gregorz Rasiak or Bobby Zamora were in Spurs shirts? Thats only two examples from the quite recent past! Sure Bent is no world beater, but pull your finger out and have some gratitude and respect. Picture last seasons league finish without Bent's 17 goals, it wouldnt have been a pretty sight, would it?

if no clubs are willing to pay 14 mill and 18 million for pav and bent respectively, then we shouldnt either of them as we dont need to, and then we wouldnt need to have the hassle of replacing them both.... it makes me laugh that every1 is saying we are overpricing the players! so fucking what.......if you dont like that then dont fucking buy them and move on! and lastly for john hickly i hope your talking about fraizer and not barrymores boyfriend judas sol!!!!

Keep Pav. Get rid of Bent and Keane and the surplus midfielders. Get a left side midfielder and big front man. Play Modric in the centre and let the team revolve around him. Defence had the best home record in the premiership so keep that intact

This must be the jokiest tranfer buz l have heard, Spurs want 32 million for Pav and Bent, don't make me luagh, Bent is not worth 2 million, Pav is worth only 12 million. I cannot believe Harry is going on hols, the club is back in training on Monday, Bent in my view isd the worst player we have bought, and l have supported Spurs over 30 years.
