United bad-boy set for shock City loan?

Joey Barton has been linked with a shock loan move to Birmingham City Football Club.

The former Manchester City midfielder is set to leave Newcastle United this summer, following the Magpies relegation from the Premier League.

Reports in The Guardian claim Birmingham are willing to take a chance on the controversial Barton, providing the St James Park club allow him to leave on loan.

Hi... How do you fancy Bowyer, Fergerson and barton in midfield...that ould tie up all the bad boys in one place...we might end up with only 8 players on the pitch..but they would put up a great midfied fight..! But seriously we need big commitment in midfied with players who can run all day and tackle hard..and pass the ball...can Blues affort to pay these prises..? so taking on barton may not be such a bad idea..after all big Eck...is no soft touch and could bring out the positive in Barton...like he has done with bowyer since he has been with Blues..

You jest but you have a point.The do not wants of this site are missing the point. The do not want Joey Barton brigade should think first about what we have and what we want future wise. Lets face it BCFC ave been on a low for years the chance to get great footballers limited because of funds.Why not as you say Bowyer done a job and i am sure Barton can to.So the "BB" BARTON,BOWYER boys brigade goes on . Hope we get him on lone I trust Big Eck forcast him for the next man untd manager Kro

Just give him a chance, maybe he used fouled play alot but now he has change so he might do well for the blues.

OPINIONS , This barton bit is all speculation and the chances of him coming to BCFC , are remote as lots of other speculation goes by the wayside we are all entitled to our thoughts and Stan and others theres, "ok" you do not want him hes a weak human being but as great potential. If hes cheap why not, just my opinion like.Stan i do not need to be told about my spelling thats a bit sad.Blues are my thoughts and great days ahead great signings and more to come . Birmingham City dont want Barton. He is a disgrace. He has had enough chances and blown the lot.We have done some good business this time around. Check your spelling hellioport.

i am a big birmingham city fan, have been for 40 years, if blues get joey barton there is no way i will be renewing my season ticket, he is a disgrace to the game of football, he isnt even a good footballer, whats happened to barry ferguerson ?, blues need to sort them selves out, they have spent money, lets spend more on a decent centre mid, BCFC KRO

Barton as his problems and knows its the last chance saloon if he plays to his top level a good signing i say.The fire in is belly is what we want if its channeled right a great addition.

At last somebody with insight spot on BCFC. Sour grapes a bitter pill a couple of yrs in the Fizzy pop league will do the toons good. No nobody as the given rights. The toons were all singing the owners praise he could walk on water ashley. Now what the ship as sunk oh dear.
