Keeper joins as Leeds get set for pre-season bow
The Whites play their first fixture of the new campaign away to York City this coming Sunday.
The Bootham Crescent visit will kickstart what everyone connected with the club hope will be a promotion campaign free from the perils of the play-offs.
Leeds then travel to Northern Ireland for a game with Glentoran which is attracting big interest in Belfast.
32-year-old goalkeeper Shane Higgs meanwhile has been meeting his new teammates after signing a one-year deal at Elland Road.
Leeds boss Simon Grayson told the club's website: "I'm glad we've signed Shane because he will provide increased competition for places.
"He is very experienced and he ended last season at Wolves, who held him in very high regard."
