Blackburn Rovers Football Club will this week make a move for Franco Di Santo.

Sam Allardyce is in the market for a couple of strikers this summer, after losing Roque Santa Cruz to Manchester City and Matt Derbyshire to Olympiakos.

It is believed the Rovers manager will this week make a move to take Chelsea youngster Di Santo, 20, to Ewood Park on loan for the 2009/10 campaign.

The Argentine is highly-rated at Stamford Bridge but he is down the pecking order for a starting place, and regular action elsewhere would benefit all parties.
