Aston Villa prepared to swoop for £12million Spurs star?

Aston Villa Football Club could make their move for Robbie Keane this week.

This time last year the Republic of Ireland skipper was leaving Tottenham Hotspur for Liverpool, but he returned to White Hart Lane just six months later.

It has been suggested that Spurs are surprisingly willing to offload Keane, 28, this summer to raise funds, and The Mirror claim Villa are ready to swoop for the £12million-rated striker.

Oh come on Davspurs, look what Harry's done already for us. We were down and out till he came and put a pair of bollocks back on each player. just look what he did at portsmouth, they were on the brink of relegation, he took them from being a mediocre club to a verry good one and FA cup winners on a limited budget. Just think what he could do with spurs with the resourses we've got. I trust him if he wants to out players he must have good reason maybe Robbie's heart aint in it no more after the liverpool fiasco or Maybe this story is all Bullshit.

I hope Carew doesn't join Spuds - he is far too good for you lot and you will ruin him like all players that go to White Hart Shame. Now I would take Keane though. Poor old droopy face doesn't seem to know what to do to get the best out of him. Still I'm sure Martin will be able to get him playing & scoring again. Either way next season Spurs will struggle.

Lazy journalism...Keane wont leave Spurs / London again. Also he's the club Captain and is well down Harrry's list of unwanted, curently topped by Bent, Bentley, Zokora and Pav. I'd say Bentley to Villa is the most likely

I think i just read the biggest load of rubbish published in the Sun saying we are going to offer Zokora plus 2m for westwood from stoke i have never laughed so much, and as im writing this my source as just confirmed to me BREAKING NEWS!!!!!!! Zokora has signed for sevilla as i reported 3 weeks ago its a done deal. My source also confirmed to me that Harry is intrested in signing Zaki and will open talks once Bent move to Sunderland has gone through.

Unfortunatley these rumors dont seem to be going away but i dont think Keano and Defoe can play together and 12m is a fair price for Keano. What worries me more is the names being linked to us are all crap, this morning i woke to read Dunne could be on his way this guy is slow cant read the game and is error prone. Cattermole is another were linked with this guy has a bad attitude no touch and is a hot head. I also heard the 1 good knee Carew is also on his way jeez harry wat u doing just keep Pav in and Defoe could be a devasting partnership next season alot of foriegn players take a season to adjust
