Andy Griffin and Dave Kitson could yet have futures at Stoke City Football Club.

Defender Griffin started last season as club captain, but his on-field bust-up with Ibrahima Sonko in December was followed by a bust up with Tony Pulis.

Kitson, meanwhile, was a £5million signing from Reading last summer but he returned to the Championship side on loan in January after failing to score for the Potters.

However, although both players are widely tipped to leave the Britannia Stadium during the summer, manager Pulis has refused to slam the door in their faces.

“We used an enormous amount of players last year and will have to do exactly the same this year,” he said. "They will play a part. It is important they get their heads down and just work hard. There are no doors closed."
