Hull City not down over lack of Fortune
12:00 PM 11 July, 2009
Phil Brown insists the failure to land Marc-Antoine Fortune will not upset Hull City Football Club as they prepare for the new season.

The Tigers hoped to land the former West Bromwich Albion loan striker on a permanent deal, but the Nancy star has instead opted to link up with Tony Mowbray again at Celtic.

"We're disappointed, but as resilient people, we dust ourselves down and get on with the next one and hopefully that will whet the whistle" Brown told the Hull Daily Mail.

"I read that I was upset that we'd lost the Fortune deal. I wasn't upset by that, if the lad wants to choose Scotland instead of England, then that's testimony to Tony Mowbray.”

i'm sorry steve but the standard of 80% of the games in the SPL is a lot worse than the EPL and Fortune will end up wishing he was playing the likes of Villa, Liverpool, Man Utd etc instead of your four 'big games' per season. see ya wouldn't wanna be ya
