Clingan Sky Blue move up in the air
Coventry City's move for Norwich City's Sammy Clingan has stalled and they have rejected a bid for Danny Fox.
25-year old Northern Ireland international midfielder Clingan looked set set for a move to the Ricoh Arena in a 700,000 pound deal. Norwich were relegated from the Championship at the end of last season.
Covnetry City manager Chris Coleman told BBC Coventry and Warwickshire: "I advised the chairman not to pay the agent.
"He's done nothing for the player. We didn't get the player because of the agent and that's unfortunate."
Highly-rated defender Fox has also been the subject of a reported 1.6m pound bid from fellow Championship side Nottingham Forest but the offer has been qucikly derided by Coleman.
He told the Coventry Evening Telegraph, "I have had one conversation with one club about Danny Fox.
"There was a bid that I thought was pathetic for a player of his calibre and we said no.
"I told Danny that and h's fine, he’s happy where he is so that’s where we are at."
