Folan ready to fight for Hull City future
03:57 PM 14 July, 2009
Caleb Folan intends to remain at Hull City Football Club.

The Tigers have been linked with bringing in a new striker this summer, with Cardiff City’s Ross McCormack and Bobby Zamora of Fulham reported targets.

Despite this Folan, who only scored once last season, intends to remain at the KC Stadium and fight for his place in Phil Brown’s starting line-up.

"The manager was always going to strengthen his attacking options but I'll be working hard in pre-season to put myself in his plans" he told the Hull Daily Mail.

"I'm very happy here, I've got another three years left on my contract. There still seems quite a bit of belief in me. It's up to me to show I'm as good as anyone at the club."
