Liverpool legend in two minds over Michael Owen move
01:00 PM 15 July, 2009
Michael Owen’s move to Manchester United has left Robbie Fowler in a sticky situation.

The former Liverpool striker has moved to Old Trafford on a free transfer this summer, following the end of his contract at Newcastle United.

This has upset many Anfield fans and Fowler, who is a legend of the Kop but a friend of Owen’s, is in two minds over the move which has caused much controversy.

“Obviously I want Michael to do well but I don’t want Manchester United to do well,” said the North Queensland Fury striker. “It’s a sticky situation.

“I don’t want to get drawn into things with Michael. Everyone knows I’m a Liverpool fan. But if Michael scores a lot of goals then I hope Fernando Torres scores a lot more.”

owen never got the supply from the newcastle players so how is he ment to score and benitez never ratad owen so he used the fact owen wanted to go to madrid as a perfect reason to get rid of him so he wouldnt look like the bad guy for selling him he had plenty of chances to get him back but he never tried fergie is a good enough manager to know he is not making a mistake if he thought he was past it he wouldnt of signed him

What the hell are you talking about ? I can't understand anything you are saying ! Are you a foreigner ? If so I think you need to learn some English.

If he was not interested and he'd rather race his horses he'd have signed for Hull... or Southport! He has just signed for the Premiership Champions!!! This is not just a money move it is a last stab at resurrecting his career at the top level. I didn't hear too many LFC fans complaining when Ince did the same thing and he was once our Captain. If he had gone directly from Liverpool to Utd I would agree with you, but he has been at two clubs since he left Liverpool. Rafa didn't want him this time around and Rafa booted him out to Real first chance he got, so where is the loyalty issue here?
