Cameron Jerome insists he has never considered leaving Birmingham City.
The 22-year-old has established himself as a key player since moving to the Blues three years ago, and last week he penned a new deal which keeps him at the club until 2012.
Jerome also has the option to extend this by a further two years, and he has outlined his commitment to the club by revealing he has never considered quitting.
"I always wanted to stay here," he told the Birmingham Mail. "There was no rush about it, we took our time to talk and we came to a conclusion that both parties were happy with.
"We just had to put it to bed. There was never really any doubt that I would want out or anything like that. If the worst-case scenario happened, that we didn't agree terms, I was still under contract and I would still have played giving my best, like I always do."
