Jussi Jaaskelainen has hailed Bolton Wanderers’ signing of Sean Davis.

Gary Megson swooped to take Davis from Portsmouth on a free transfer earlier this summer, and goalkeeper Jaaskelainen believes the 29-year-old can become a key player.

“We are delighted to get him,” he told the Bolton News. “He’s good on the ball. He had a great time when he first started with Fulham and then he moved to Spurs and Portsmouth.

“He’s experienced in midfield, and you always need that experience, and is going to bring a lot of good qualities. He’s a very important signing for us.”
