Alex McLeish insists Birmingham City Football Club are not looking to sign Stephen Hunt.

Reports claimed the Blues had tabled an offer of £4million for the Reading midfielder, but McLeish is adamant these stories are purely speculation.

"It's not true. I am not about to sign anybody at the moment," he is quoted on skysports.com. "We've got to count our pennies.

"I don't really want to talk about players who are with other teams or I might get into trouble with the authorities. But Hunt is a good player."
