Ashley Cole has urged Chelsea Football Club to spend big ahead of the new season.

The Blues will be looking to take the Premier League title off Manchester United, after watching the Reds hold on to the crown for each of the past three seasons.

Yuri Zhirkov, the Russian international, has been the only big signing made by Carlo Ancelotti this summer, and Cole, quoted on Tribal Football, is hoping for more.

"Our squad is very strong but it's always nice to see big players coming to this big club. It's always a boost for the current players to see new ones coming in,” he said.
