Harry Redknapp insists he has not been approached by Aston Villa Football Club about the availability of Jermaine Jenas.

The Midlands club have been heavily linked with the Tottenham Hotspur midfielder, but these reports are surprising to Redknapp who has heard nothing from Martin O’Neill’s side.

"I have never heard a thing from Aston Villa,” he told Sky Sports.

“I don't know where those stories keep coming from. No one has ever contacted us. I don't want to sell Jermaine Jenas, he is a terrific player. We don't want to sell our best players."
