The Sunday Mirror claims Manchester City are set to turn their attentions to Matthew Upson.

The mega-rich Eastlands club would love to sign John Terry this summer, but it appears increasingly likely that the England international will opt to remain at Chelsea.

Joleon Lescott of Everton remains a top target for Mark Hughes, but the Sunday Mirror claim Upson, the West Ham United star, has also emerged as a potential signing.

The former Arsenal and Birmingham City player still has two years remaining on his deal at Upton Park, but it is suggested City will try and force a sale with an offer of £15million.
