Thierry Henry may have more red and white blood coursing through his veins than another Arsenal legend: a certain Patrick Vieira.
I was quite shocked to hear that Spurs seem to think they have a chance of landing Vieira. At this stage in his career, why does the midfielder want to move back to London. Perhaps it's about having the chance to play again in what's dubbed "the best league in the world". Maybe it's the challenge. Or could it be sweet talking Spurs boss Harry Redknapp?
The Tottenham manager and his son Jamie were talking to Vieira's former team-mate Henry in the Wembley Stadium players' tunnel at the weekend. Body language said it all. Henry was politely saying something in the negative and the Redknapps sadly walked away.
Henry told The Sun: "I am Arsenal through and through. I'd never advise anyone to sign for Tottenham.
"Patrick Vieira is a grown man who will do whatever he has to do for his own career.
"But I have never advised anyone about their future because it's not my business."
He added: "I can't have Arsenal fans thinking I am helping Tottenham in any way.
"The truth is I was talking to Spurs boss Harry Redknapp and he told me he was trying to sign Patrick from Inter Milan.
"I was very surprised because Patrick is like me. He loves Arsenal.
"I just said that Patrick would be a brilliant signing. But I also made it clear I would be shocked if it happened."
Meanwhile, the silence from Vieira is deafening.
When Redknapp admitted, on the same day, that he was trying to get Vieira you got the feeling that an "impossible move" was possible after all. We can argue it should never happen, especially when a player is as well off financially as Vieira it begs the question: why does he need to change his Arsenal status from "legend" to "rear end" just to secure a not-so-bumper payday at Spurs?
