Taylor agrees Bolton Wanderers contract
05:28 PM 28 July, 2009
Matt Taylor has agreed a new contract with Bolton Wanderers Football Club.

The midfielder has been a huge success at the Reebok Stadium following his move from Portsmouth in January 2008, and his new deal keeps him in Lancashire until 2012.

"Matt's agreed to sign an extension to his contract, which he is pleased about, his family is pleased about, and obviously we are," manager Gary Megson told the Bolton News.

"Matt's a southern lad, it's his first time up north and he loves it. He thinks he's become an honorary northerner by virtue of the fact he is buying a house here rather than just renting one.

“He seems to be happy here and he has done great for us. He scored 10 goals last season and is a big influence with his set-pieces and work-rate. Hopefully he can go from strength to strength."
