Rose desperate to prove Tottenham Hotspur right
Danny Rose is determined to prove he is worth his new contract at Tottenham Hotspur.
The former Leeds United youngster has yet to play for the Londoners first team, and his progress was seriously hindered in September of last year when he suffered a bad knee injury.
This forced him out of action for five months, and when he returned to action, he was loaned out to Championship side Watford where he made seven appearances.
Rose has now been handed a new contract which keeps him at White Hart Lane until the summer of 2013, and he is determined to repay the loyalty Spurs have shown in him.
"That's football for you. One minute you can be down in the dumps and the next you can be on top of the world,” the 19-year-old told Spurs TV Online. "Last season was very difficult for me.
“I had to be mentally strong to get through it and I did. The coaches have noticed that I've come back stronger for this season and I feel that I've earned my new contract."
