Watford's Smith prefers Reading to Sheff Utd
10:50 AM 29 July, 2009
The Daily Mirror say that Watford's Tommy Smith would like to move to Reading and link up again with his former boss Brendan Rodgers, but the problem is the Royals have only offered £800k so far for the former England U-21 international.

Meanwhile, Watford have accepted a bid of £1.8m from Sheffield United, but the deal won't happen until the player agrees the move.

I disagree with u Hackenthorpe Blade i think Lita is a nutter and would just mess KBs plans up plus hes not played since Jan so it would be a bad move. we need 2 striker and loan Billy Sharp out then with a bit of luck Billy will come back and score a hat full

I wouldn't be looking to sign tommy smith for 1.8m not when you have got the like's of lita who is a free agent. If we was to sign lita combined with the other strikers @ the lane we would have the best front line in the championship.

Why do we want Tommy Smith hes good but spending 1.8m on him would be a waste of cash
