Crouch will get the best out of Tottenham Hotspur pals
04:30 PM 30 July, 2009
Robbie Keane believes Tottenham Hotspur Football Club’s decision to spend £9million will serve to get the best out of him and his fellow strikers.

The Londoners have paid £9million to add the England international to their squad, and it appears as though Darren Bent will make way for him by departing for Sunderland.

Keane, Jermain Defoe and Roman Pavlyuchenko are the other forwards at Harry Redknapp’s disposal, and the former believes they will all find an extra gear following Crouch’s arrival.

"I am looking forward to playing with him," the Republic of Ireland international is quoted. "He is a tremendous player and he is a good addition to a good squad that we already have.

"As a striker it is always good to be kept on your toes and we now have four good strikers it now means we all have to perform otherwise someone else is going to come in.”
