Samba could be Lescott alternative for Manchester City
10:45 AM 03 August, 2009
Manchester City Football Club could move for Christopher Samba if they fail to land Joleon Lescott.

Although Mark Hughes made a centre-back signing last week when he paid £15million for Arsenal’s Kolo Toure, he has already missed out on John Terry, his first target, who is staying at Chelsea.

The City manager is also facing difficulty in his pursuit of number two target, Joleon Lescott, although he is expected to make a third bid of £22million for the England international.

If Everton continue to reject the advances of the Eastlands club, then Hughes, according to the Daily Star Sunday, will turn to his former Blackburn Rovers charge Samba.
