Blackburn Rovers Football Club have signed Franco Di Santo on loan.

Sam Allardyce has been chasing the 20-year-old striker for much of the summer, but new Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti was keen to take a look at him first.

Di Santo featured for the Blues during their pre-season tour of the United States, but he has now been allowed to head to Ewood Park for the start of the season.

The Argentine will stay in Lancashire until January but, if he is not needed back at Stamford Bridge, he will see the rest of the campaign out with Rovers.
