Darren Bent is poised to complete his move to Sunderland Football Club.

The Black Cats have been chasing the striker for much of the summer, but they have endured a torrid time in agreeing a transfer fee with Tottenham Hotspur.

However, it is believed a fee of £12million was finally agreed earlier this week, and Bent has agreed personal terms with the Stadium of Light club and now passed a medical.

The former Charlton Athletic striker has been pushed down the pecking order at Spurs, and he made it public on his Twitter page last week that he wanted to move to Wearside.
