Sunderland Football Club are said to be interested in Michael Dawson.

The Black Cats have just completed a club-record fee for Tottenham Hotspur striker Darren Bent, which is said to have cost them a fee in the region of £14million.

Reports in The Sun now claim Steve Bruce is set to make a return to White Hart Lane for Dawson, as he looks to bolster his back four at the Stadium of Light.

The 25-year-old is currently sidelined with injury, and as Spurs have few options in the heart of their back four, it is unlikely they would consider selling the former Nottingham Forest ace.
