Liverpool ready to turn attention to Silva
12:30 PM 06 August, 2009
Liverpool Football Club may not have given up on David Silva just yet.

The Reds have been linked with the Valencia winger for some time, but reports over the past week suggest Manchester United are also hot for the Spanish international forward.

Following the £30million sale of Xabi Alonso to Real Madrid Rafael Benitez has agreed a deal for Roma’s Alberto Aquilani, but reports in Spain claim he also stills wants Silva.

The 23-year-old, rated at £25million, can play on either flank or in a more central attacking role, and his addition may be seen by the Anfield club as the final piece in their title jigsaw.

Silva to manure is a joke!!! We LFC have the spanish connection and not manure. Fergie it is time for retirement...you achieved so much and congrats but now time for bed old boy..Aquilani for sure is the best replacement for Alonso..i even say that Aquilani is better option than Alonso..he can do everthing that Alonso can and is more attack minded than the latter. Mash will take care of defensive midfield and Aquilani will just feed Torres and company in front.

I hv been admiring david silva for some time. he is a player with the sort of skills and threat like fabregas. if you watch him closely, no one can seem to get the ball off his feet. i have always wanted rafa to sign him. i really hope liverpool can get him.
