Foster or Kuszczak: Who gets Manchester United nod?

Sir Alex Ferguson has a decision to make ahead of the Community Shield on Sunday.

An injury to regular number one goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar has ruled him out for two months, which is expected to give England’s Ben Foster a much anticipated run in the Manchester United side.

However, Polish international Kuszczak has been impressive in pre-season against Boca Juniors and Valencia, and he is pushing to start against Chelsea at Wembley.

"I do have a decision to make over the goalkeeper for Sunday," said Old Trafford manager Ferguson. "Both Ben and Tomasz have outstanding qualities, so we will see."

ben foster will get it, but tomasz kuszczak should...think fergie made an error in being so bullish about foster becoming england no.1 as that hinted that he was a shoe in for edwins shirt...i know tomasz really well, and ben too a little bit just from knowing tomasz...he has never complained, and I have always said that if tomasz got a chance to play some games, establish some communication capabilities with the defence, he would not surprise himself or fergie, as they both are aware of his qualities, but the fans, who dont really know it...if you base if on form, tomasz has got it...he has been brilliant in pre season, i think the defenders have developed confidence in him...but the english foster bandwagon just may carry on!

My desicion has been made and the pr-season preformances have decided it. Both Ben and Tomasz are brilliant keepers and thats why my desicion has been made. It was made a long time ago I don't see why you are taking the time to bother about it. You will know when the match is played
