Burnley Football Club have signed Fernando Guerrero.

The Clarets have been linked with the Ecuadorian international all summer, and after impressing during a trial earlier this summer, a season-long loan deal from Independiente del Valle has been finalised.

"Fernando is an exciting player for just 19 years of age and we believe he has unbelievable potential," boss Owen Coyle told the club's official website. "We have agreed a loan deal, with an option to buy.

"Obviously he is valued very highly by his club in Ecuador and if he comes in and shows us the quality we know he possesses I think he can go on to become a truly outstanding player."
