Newcastle United accept Tigers offer for Beye
08:11 PM 06 August, 2009
Hull City Football Club are in pole position to sign Habib Beye.

The defender has been expected to leave Newcastle United following their relegation from the Premier League last season, and the Tigers have had an offer accepted for the 31-year-old.

“Habib Beye is a player we believe can add quality to the Hull squad," confirmed chairman Paul Duffen. "We are hoping to engage in conversation with him in the next couple of days."

Beye looks set to become the second defender to leave St James Park this week, after Tottenham Hotspur succeeded with an offer of £8million for Sebastien Bassong.
