Nugent linked with Stoke City switch
David Nugent has been linked with a move to Stoke City Football Club.
The former Preston North End striker has been a flop since joining Portsmouth two-years ago, and he was involved in an ugly bust-up with team-mate Marc Wilson this week.
This is set to result in Nugent’s departure from Fratton Park and Stoke, who the striker rejected eighteen months ago, are expected to make an offer for his signature.
"We have identified players we want to sell - no-one has to be a brain surgeon to work out who they are," Pompey chief executive Peter Storrie told The News.
"There are players that if the right offers come in we will sell them. As for David Nugent, we had an enquiry about him yesterday (Wednesday) morning."
