Alan Hutton is confident he will finally prove his worth at Tottenham Hotspur this season.

The Scotland international fullback has endured a torrid time with injuries following his £9million move from Rangers last January, but he is raring to go ahead of the new season.

"It's like starting afresh again. We've had nine pre-season games, so sharpness is not a problem for me now and I am fit and looking forward to getting on with the games,” said Hutton.

The 24-year-old had earlier this summer been linked with a move to Premier League rivals Everton, but it appears he is determined to prove his quality at White Hart Lane.
