There is every chance Jack Wilshire could make England’s World Cup squad, providing he sees enough action for Arsenal Football Club during the 2009/10 season.

The 17-year-old midfielder is rated as one of the brightest young talents in England, and after impressing during the recent Emirates Cup for the Gunners, he is certainly on Fabio Capello’s radar.

“I saw him last year two times because he played in the Carling Cup and he has improved a lot now," said the Italian coach. "He plays without fear, with confidence.

“This is not normal to be so young and so good. We have time before we have to decide if he will go to South Africa. It depends a lot on Arsene Wenger, if he will play him."
