Belhadj may be ideal option for Tottenham Hotspur
02:30 PM 11 August, 2009
Tottenham Hotspur Football Club could be interested in Nadir Belhadj.

The Algerian international was a virtual unknown when Harry Redknapp signed him on loan for Portsmouth last summer, but he as soon making a name for himself in the Premier League.

Although Redknapp left for Spurs in October, Pompey were determined to keep the 27-year-old on the South Coast and made his move permanent when they paid Lens €4.5million for his signature.

It is believed that Belhadj could now join his former manager at White Hart Lane, as the Londoners look to solve their left-back problem with a player who would also offer them an option in midfield.
