Damien Duff could finalise a £4million move to Fulham Football Club on Saturday.

Newcastle United have accepted Roy Hodgson’s bid for the Republic of Ireland international, who scored for the Magpies in their Championship opener last weekend.

Hodgson worked with the player during their time together at Blackburn Rovers, and he feels the 30-year-old can become a key player at Craven Cottage.

Sky Sports claim Duff is due in London on Saturday to finalise his move to the Premier League club, who are also in Europa League contention this season.
